If you're "up" on the emerging, postmodern thing, then this should make you laugh or smile or at minimum smirk.

How do you get candle wax out of carpet??????? Interesting... I kind a wish they did have a mag like that. It would be totally postmodern to make fun of our own trappings! Liked your comments on The Burning Question blog... I would like to hear more when you have more time. Question: Yes, Jesus is the way, and the early church had a closer, physical connection with him (either with Jesus personally, or with His eyewitnesses) - the challenge, I guess, is how do we (generations removed from actual, physical expereince with Jesus) have a REAL relationship with Him? By REAL, I mean experience? Is it head knowledge (faith)? Is it emotion (feelings)? Is it through the natural world (creation)? Is it through people and communities (church)? Prayer (conversation-one way)? Scriptures (reading)? How do you REALLY experience an "invisible" God? All of these devices are mere shadows compared to the REAL Him, aren't they? Or maybe a better question is: Can we?
So I have been doing this HUGE study on the postmodern, emergent, vintage, I love Jesus but hate the church, movement... Trying to make sense of it all, since I actually fit into the catergory-in what "experts" describe it to be. I find that most children of the baby boom gernation... us are trying to exploit the freedom we have in Jesus-within boundries... Not like the hippy exploitation of freedom, but more like I know who I am in Christ and I want to be all I am able to be...
There is a definate movement in the spiritual. People in this day want what the disciples experienced and not what there parents did.
Anyway... I thought this magazine was- RANDOM... not that I will "judge the book by its cover" but none the less... RANDOM and Interesting.
